Mugwe Manga

Commercial Director

Mugwe Manga has served as commercial director of Mayfox Mining Company Limited since 2009. He manages the company’s business development strategy and has been integrally involved in the implementation of its mineral exploration programs. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Nottingham and a Masters in International Business (MIB) from Grenoble École de Management. He has gained experience in the banking industry working at Goldman Sachs International, London under the Private Wealth Management division specializing in institutional portfolios. He has gained over 9 years’ experience working in Kenya, where he sits on various boards in the IT and renewable energy sectors and is an executive committee member of the Lake Naivasha Ripirian Association.


Collins O. Aseto

Exploration Manager

BSc (Geology), MSc (Economic Geology)

Collins Aseto is a Geoscientist with over 15 years’ experience in mineral exploration, mine geology, project and resource development. As Mayfox’s exploration manager, he oversees the overall direction of regional gold exploration programmes including programme design, contributes to the strategic plan of the organization, identifies exploration opportunities consistent with the corporate strategic plan, mentors and trains junior staff with the aim of developing a world class team.He brings on board extensive local and international expertise from senior exploration positions he has held in Lonmin Plc/ AfriOre (K) Ltd., Auburn University-Alabama USA, Anglo American Plc and most recently Acacia Mining (K) Ltd where he served as the Senior Geologist. Aseto holds a BSc in Geology from University of Nairobi and a Masters in Economic Geology from Auburn University-Alabama, USA, and also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Computer Based Information Systems (CBIS) from Sunderland University (UK). He is a member of Geological Society of Kenya(GSK) and the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) amongst other professional societies.


Gathigia Rita W.

Operations Manager

BSc (Mathematics and Computer Science)

Rita Gathigia joined Mayfox Mining Company Limited in 2015 and is responsible for the efficient execution of Mayfox’s strategy by overseeing smooth running of projects, building cohesion between both internal and external stakeholders, administration of the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and proper data management of the company’s results. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (Kenya); Statistics Major. She is also undertaking Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) at Strathmore University. Rita brings on board brief experience from Britam Kenya and is working with various non-governmental organizations in Kenya.


Ochola Kevin O.

Exploration Geologist

BSc (Geology)

Kevin Ochola is an exploration geologist with experience in gold exploration.  His previous work includes projects with Acacia Mining in the western Kenya greenstone belts and Mid Migori Mining/ Redrock resources in the Migori greenstone belt. Kevin Ochola has acquired valuable experience having worked in projects at various exploration stages from Greenfields to resource drilling; his technical skills extend to geological mapping, logging, structural geology, geochemical sampling, geophysics, GIS, database management, data interpretation and drilling supervision. In addition he has had practical experience in health and safety management. Kevin holds a BSc. Geology from the University of Nairobi and is a member of the Geological society of Kenya.


Malidzo Chidzugwe J.

Junior Exploration Geologist

BSc (Geology)

Malidzo joined Mayfox Mining in 2015. He has exploration experience from Turkana, Kilifi and Kitui Counties (Kenya) in addition to the technical skills involved in geochemistry, surface exploration in geology, geophysics along with GIS mapping and interpretation. He holds a BSc. Geology from the University of Nairobi (Kenya) and is a professional member of the Geological Society of Kenya (GSK).

He is currently in a 2 year sabbatical leave pursuing Masters of Science (MSc.) in Geology/Geological Sciences at Georgia State University in the United States of America (USA).

Christa Koki

Exploration Geologist

BSc Geology, MSc Geology (Environmental Geology and Health)

Christa joined MMCL in 2018 with a previous work experience from the Oil and Gas Industry where she worked for Baker Hughes Inc. in the Turkana oil fields. As a young earth scientist, Christa has hands-on skills in geological mapping which encompasses health and safety practices in the field, GIS mapping, geochemical studies, statistical analysis and interpretation, scientific writing and results presentation. Christa holds a BSc Geology degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and an MSc Geology degree with a focus on Environmental Geology and Health from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
