SPL 221 was acquired by Mayfox mining on 26 March 2015 and is renewable upon expiry in two years from date of issue.
Initial work conducted by MMCL was geological mapping at Aterika, Nadwat and Lolupe. The aim was to follow-up on International Gold Exploration’s [IGE] mapped geology.
Mapping at Aterika confirmed extensive shearing as depicted by International Gold Exploration’s [IGE] mapped geology. Mineralization in the region is believed to be controlled by an existing NE-SW shear zone. The zone has an estimated strike length of 10km.
At Aterika, mafic volcanics, felsic volcanics and felsic breccias, gabbroic and dioritic intrusions, and felsite dykes were mapped.
